Group Accommodation FAQ
1. What are the arrival and departure times?
- Weekend arrival: Friday from 16:00.
- Weekend departure: Sunday at 17:00.
- Long weekend departure: Monday at 10:00; bedrooms must be vacated by 09:00.
- Public holidays such as Easter, Pentecost and Christmas may have different departure times.
- If you would like to arrive earlier on Friday, please contact us by phone.
2. What should we bring ourselves?
- Towels, including an extra towel for the shower floor if desired
- Tea towels, dishcloths and a kitchen towel
- Rubbish bags
- Toilet paper
- Washing-up liquid
- Dish brush
- Cleaning products and soap
3. Is there a sound system?
There is a JBL speaker that you can use to stream music via Bluetooth. It may only be used for background music. Noisy parties are not allowed.
4. Can music be played outdoors?
Portable speakers, party speakers and other audio equipment may not be used outdoors, including for background music. Acoustic guitar outdoors is allowed until 22:00.
5. Do we need to bring bed linen?
No. Bed linen is a mandatory service and linen packages are provided at the accommodation.
6. Do we need to bring towels and tea towels?
Yes, please bring your own towels and tea towels.
7. Do we have to use the beer tap, or may we bring our own beer?
You may of course bring crates of beer. If you would like to use our draught-beer system, the beer must be purchased through us.
8. Is someone from Melody Ranch behind the bar?
No. You may use the beer tap yourself.
9. Can leftover beer be returned?
No. We cannot return leftover beer or full kegs. If beer remains, you may take the keg with you after paying a €30 deposit.
10. Do we need to order CO₂ cylinders?
No. CO₂ is provided and connected when you use the beer tap.
11. Our group can sometimes be noisy. Is that a problem?
Melody Ranch is in a quiet area. Please avoid noise nuisance after 23:00. After midnight, no noise may be audible outside the accommodation. If you want to party loudly, we recommend choosing another accommodation.
12. Do we need dishwasher tablets?
No. The dishwasher is automatically supplied with detergent and there is no extra charge for it.
13. What type of coffee should we bring?
Standard filter-ground coffee can be used.
14. Do we need to bring coffee filters?
No. Basket filters are provided.
15. Is there an oven for baking bread rolls?
Yes. There is a convection oven with 4 racks, approximately 59.5 cm wide, 53 cm deep and 57 cm high. There is also a combination microwave with oven function, approximately 25 cm high and 35 cm wide.
16. Are supermarkets and bakeries nearby?
Den Ham has a Jumbo supermarket, which also offers a delivery service, and several bakeries. Vroomshoop has Aldi and other supermarkets. Supermarkets and bakeries are within approximately 5 km.
17. Can we bring our own firewood?
No. Firewood must be purchased through Melody Ranch. See the campfire page. The campfire must remain low in the fire bowl and be completely extinguished by midnight. During periods of increased wildfire risk, campfires may not be allowed.
18. Are dogs allowed?
Dogs may be allowed by prior agreement. Please tell us before arrival how many dogs you are bringing and which breed. Dogs are not allowed in the sleeping quarters. Any damage caused by dogs is charged to the lead booker.
19. We have two buildings. Is there an extra charge for that?
No. There is no additional charge for using both buildings.
20. Is smoking allowed inside?
No. Smoking is not allowed indoors. There is a covered seating area outside under the veranda where smoking is permitted.
21. Can a travel cot be added?
Yes. A travel cot can be added. We also have one travel cot available ourselves.
22. Is there a high chair?
Yes, one high chair is available. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use it.
24. Can we barbecue under the veranda?
Under the veranda/covered area you may only use our gas barbecue or another gas barbecue.
Important:
Charcoal barbecues and open fire are not allowed under the veranda.
23. Is there an EV charging station?
Yes, there is a charging station with two connections. The owner can show you where it is located.
Important: charging an electric car via ordinary wall sockets or the accommodation’s electricity supply is not permitted.
26. When is the deposit refunded?
After the main cleaning, within 14 days after departure.
25. Do we need to bring toilet paper?
Yes. Please bring your own toilet paper. On arrival, there will be enough toilet paper in the toilets for initial use.

27. Where can I take out group cancellation insurance?
