WELCOME
TO MELODY RANCH RESORT
We started building a replica of a
real American "guest/dude" ranch in the Netherlands
in
April 2002. We've built the Melody Ranch all by ourselves.
We bought our guesthouse in Pennsylvania from George White Log Homes.
We use the ranch as a group- accommodation for family reunions or seminars
for
business-people. People
can stay in real American buildings with a group.
We had our first guests December 30, 2002.
We're bringing a piece of American culture into the Netherlands.

The
pioneers cabin is made with hand peeled round logs.
The logs are cut out with an axe. There's chinking between the logs.
William M. Bailey from Historical Applications in Delta Colorado
taught Jan how to build a cabin the way the pioneers did. The cabin
is designed for 2 people.
The log furniture on the ranch is all made by
Jan himself.
Jan provides live music on the ranch. People can do outside adventures,
hiking/trekking, canoeing, survival, fishing, climbing wall.
It's also possible to ride a horse on a riding-school nearby our
ranch. |
